Ristorante dei Contorni - The Hystory

The origin of Ristorante dei Contorni dates back to the beginning of the Fifties and, as its name says (Contorni means Side Dishes), its specialties were side dishes.

Typical dishes of the Treviso area were served with more than twenty different types of side dishes.

The Restaurant was born as an Eating House for people living in the neighborhood or passing through; then during the years its prestige, customers and dimensions increased constantly.

As a matter of fact, in 1973, the ownership of the restaurant passed to Mestriner's family that through important improvements makes it acquire its current fame.

The Restaurant's Cuisine on the strength of its old Veneto traditions, learnt with ability and carried on with fervor, has passed on to its customers its "fish culture", besides offering its already successful meat specialties, and in this way it has made the restaurant a reference point for lovers of good Cuisine.

During the years new wide, elegant and cozy rooms have been built in order to welcome the constantly increasing number of customers from the Triveneto region. They are proper to host wedding banquets, leasant occasions and every kind of party.

Moreover, in 1993, the Park was born: a wonderful environment for buffets and parties and it is also an ideal stage for taking photos and videos of unforgettable moments.

During its long history, the Restaurant has received several awards, among which the "Piave d’Argento" Award (Silver Piave) and the "Stella d’Oro" (Golden Star) that are honors given only to "Cuisine Masters". The Restaurant also boasts important collaborations with APCI (professional association of Italian cookers) and FISAR (Italian sommeliers, hoteliers and restaurateurs federation).
